What to do if you see a dead bird in your yard
A dead bird has been spotted in a residential concrete floor in the Dublin suburb of Kilbirnie.
The dead bird was found on a concrete slab in the garden of the home of a resident, the National Parks and Wildlife Service said.
The bird is believed to have died of natural causes, and the NPS did not specify how it got there.
A garda spokesperson said the dead bird is not believed to be the same as a dead pigeon.
It is not yet known how long the bird has remained in the area.
The NPS said the bird was likely to have arrived in the country from the USA and had been feeding on the concrete slab since late March.
It added that the bird may have been there for some time.
